By default, a quote you create is not visible in your rental history unless you send or accept it. Here's how you can save a quote to come back to it later.

Before we get into it, this article doesn't cover the basics of getting an instant quote. If you aren't familiar with that process, please see the help article we created to guide you through that.

This article is specifically about how to ensure a quote is saved to your rental history so that you can come back to it later - as, by default, not every quote is visible in your rental history.

This will save you from having to recreate the quote from scratch if you want to accept it later. Or, you can use the quote as a starting point for creating a similar quote.

Three Ways To Do It

So there are three ways to make sure a quote is saved to your rental history.

Save It Directly

The first is to save a quote in the quote drawer after you have created it. This will update the status of the quote to

quoted
, and it will then appear in your rental history.

See the screenshot below.

Use the Save To History button in the quote drawer to ensure the quote is visible in your quote history.

After you have saved the quote, the button text changes to

Saved To History
and the tooltip that appears when you hover over the button has a link that will take you to the quote.

Get A PDF Version Of The Quote

Downloading a PDF version of a quote using the

Get PDF
button in the quote drawer also saves the quote to your rental history. This button is beside the one we just discussed.

Use the Get PDF button to download a PDF version of the quote. This also saves the quote to your history.

Send The Quote By Email

Finally, you can send the quote by email (the quote is included as a PDF attachment). This is also done through the quote drawer, directly beneath the other two options we have just been discussing.

Sending the quote by email also saves the quote to your history.

Nice. You now know how to save a quote to your history to be sure it is there when you come back to it later.
