Arri/Zeiss MK2 Standard Speed lenses have been the lenses of choice on many feature films, TVCs and other productions for four decades. Feature films such as The Shawshank Redemption, Holy Motors, Fargo and A Beautiful Mind were all shot with these lenses.
Zeiss Standard and Super Speed lenses are often chosen these days to 'soften' what many consider to be a harsher digital look. If you're trying to achieve a look that more modern lenses can't give you, come and shoot some tests on the Zeiss Standards.
