cmotion Cinefade

The cmotion Cinefade is a motorised polarising and variable ND filter compatible with the LBUS ecosystem.

It can also be used to maintain consistent exposure during an iris pull by automatically adjusting the level of ND in sync with the change of aperture (this is known as the cinefade effect).

The full ND range offered by the Cinefade is ND0.4 to ND2.7 (up to 9 stops), but the recommended optical safe range is ND0.4 to ND1.8 to avoid potential colour casts and artifacting.

Please note: The Cinefade works with both ARRI and non ARRI cameras but requires an ARRI Hi-5 with the Cinefade license installed (or a compatible cmotion hand unit), as well as an ARRI RIA-1 or cforce mini RF in the LBUS chain in order to be controlled remotely. Native ALEXA 35 support is coming but for now a RIA-1 or cforce mini RF motor is needed.
