Canon RF 28-70mm f/2L USM

The Canon RF 28-70mm f/2 is one of the most versatile lenses available today due to its excellent zoom range and large aperture (for a zoom lens). With this lens you don’t have to choose between the fast speed of a prime lens or the versatility of a zoom lens - you can have both.

Whether you're shooting stills or video, this lens is an absolute powerhouse and is a full stop faster than it’s trusty counterpart - the 24-70 f/2.8, which is an industry staple.

The lens features ultra low dispersion glass which greatly reduces colour fringing and chromatic aberration. Even when wide open, this lens is beautifully sharp and clear.

If you are using this lens for video you can take full advantage of the Canon autofocus system (on supported cameras) and the integrated ring-type ultrasonic motor has nice quiet operation.

The RF 28-70 f/2L also features a configurable lens ring, which gives you an extra tactile control that you can use to quickly adjust your exposure. You can set this to adjust your ISO, aperture and exposure compensation.

The extra stop of speed this lens provides does come at a cost - it is quite large and is nearly double the weight of the Canon EF 24-70 II. This is slightly counteracted by the fact that the new R series Canon mirrorless cameras are lighter than their DSLR counterparts.
