The Arri Amira has the same sensor and colour handling as the outstanding Arri Alexa, yet it is lighter and practical for use by a crew of one when required.
Like the Alexa, the Amira focuses on what is important to working professionals - dynamic range, colour fidelity, thoughtful ergonomics and a simple post workflow.
As you'd expect with an Alexa sensor inside, the Amira captures high contrast scenes beautifully.
Highlights are handled in a manner reminiscent of film, without the harsh clipping often associated with digital sensors.
Capture motion in glorious detail by shooting at up to 200 frames per second in HD and 2K (up to 60fps at 4K UHD resolution) using the full sensor of the Amira - there's no windowing here to degrade image quality.
Change frame rates quickly with the flick of a switch - no need to dive deep into the camera menu.
Traditional ND filters can have inconsistent colour casts and need to be matched to the specific sensor being used for the best colour performance. The Amira has 2, 4 and 7 stops of IRND built-in, and the entire optical stack is designed specifically for the sensor in the Amira.
You can quickly select your required level of ND with a dedicated switch beneath the lens mount.
The Amira records in the widely used, workflow-friendly ProRes codec. Choose the flavour that best suits your project - from 422LT through to 4444XQ.
Record in flat Log C for maximum versatility in post, or bake in a preconfigured look if fast turnaround is a priority.
CFast 2 media is fast, easy to work with and non-proprietary.
Data transfer rates up to 450MB per second mean a 120GB card can be offloaded in as little as 5 minutes.
Each 120GB card can hold 68 minutes of 2K ProRes 422HQ footage (25 frames per second). The Amira has two CFast 2 card slots.
