Typ 246. The pinnacle of digital black and white photography.
The Leica M Monochrom has a 24 megapixel, 35mm full frame sensor with no colour filter array (CFA), which means there is no debayering required to produce the images captured by the camera. CFAs soften images and generally make the sensor less sensitive to light, so with the Leica M Monochrom you get every pixel of resolution and better low light performance.
The M Monochrom is based on the M Typ 240. It has the same 2GB buffer as the Leica M-P, meaning it can capture images in sequence at a rate faster than the regular Leica M.
If you need it, the M Monochrom can also capture 1080p video in either 24fps or 25fps.
